You may cancel the Policy within 14 days of issue date and a date earlier than the departure date by giving us written notification. Termination of the Policy can only be done if it is not due to any circumstances known to you prior to the booking of the Trip and no claim has been made.

You can travel anywhere in the world under Salaam International Travel Gold plan including all the Schengen countries. Whereas, under the silver plan you cannot travel to the Schengen countries, but you can travel to the rest of the world

No, they have to be travelling with at least one of the Participant adults

You can travel as often as you like within the 12 month period. There is a limit of 92 days for any one trip.

Yes, if a person who is older than 18 years and is a part of a family policy, then even if he/she is traveling alone, they will be covered within the policy.

You should take the policy booklet with you whenever you travel. It contains full details of the policy cover, conditions and exclusions, together with contact details for our 24-hour medical emergency service. If you don't want to carry your policy document with you, make sure you have access to the internet where you can download your documents sent to your email if you need them.

If you have purchased your policy online and chosen the option of cash on delivery, then your documents will be available to you in 3-5 days. However, if you have paid online, then your document will be available immediately for your perusal.

Ans. Company shall pay medical, pharmaceutical and hospitalization expenses as well as the ambulance expenses from the place of the accident to the nearest medical center in case of any emergency or to your country of residence.

Pre-existing medical condition means:

An ongoing or recurring Medical Condition (or any medical complication directly attributable to that condition) investigated by a Medical Practitioner (whether diagnosed or not) and/or

A Medical Condition (other than a minor non-recurring ailment) for which there has been a prescribed medication or treatment by a Medical Practitioner during the 24 Months immediately preceding the date of application for this Takaful.

Since, a wheelchair is not counted as a checked-In baggage. It is not covered.

Yes. We can provide cover if you are on a waiting list for an operation or treatment for a diagnosed condition. However, no health benefits would be provided to you for a problem associated with your condition.

• You must be fit to undertake your planned trip

• You must not travel against medical advice or with the intention of obtaining medical treatment or consultation abroad

• We will cover you only for pre-existing medical conditions that you have declared to us and which we have accepted in writing. These are set out in the policy document pack, along with the answers you gave to our medical questions.

• We will not cover you if your state of health was worse than you told us at the time you avail your policy.

Ans. We cover more risks than any other company in Pakistan. There are nine main covers being offered in our domestic travel policy, namely:

In the cases where the Participant, only due to force majeure or any reason beyond his control cannot contact Swan International Assistance directly to request the Services or Benefits covered by the policy, the Participant can seek for expenses reimbursement in writing as follows:

a) Contact Swan International Assistance to obtain a “CASE NUMBER”.

b) Send an explanation letter of the circumstances of why the “Services or Benefits” for which expenses are being claimed were not requested or obtained from Swan International Assistance directly.

c) Send the official documents (such as Medical Report, Police Report or Notification of Loss or Theft, Airline Report of Delay, Cancellation, Lost Luggage, etc.) and original receipts of the expenses incurred.

Ans. We will pay for emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries up to the limit mentioned in the schedule, if the baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to you within 12 hours provided a written consent is sent to us by the airline company and receipts of the emergency purchases are provided during the claim process.

Ans. If you are delayed for at least 8 hours from the scheduled time of departure due to strike, industrial action, adverse weather conditions, mechanical breakdown or technical fault, we will pay up to the limits mentioned in the schedule.

Don’t panic. Your airline is your first port of call as soon as you’ve realized your bag is missing. Go straight to their info desk, ask for help and lodge a Property Irregularity Report.

If it turns out your luggage is in the same airport terminal, it could be with you in a matter of hours. If it simply missed a connection, it could be with you the next day (or whenever the next flight is).

However, if your bag has gone on another flight, you might have to wait anywhere from 48 hours to five days for it to be found and sent to the correct destination.

Afterwards, wait for your luggage. With Takaful travel cover, you can claim a compensation for your emergency purchases like clothing, medicines and toiletries. You can also ask the airline for the compensation as well.

Similarly, if your luggage is lost. You can claim for a compensation from us as well as your airline.
